Country Showcase and B2B event
11-12 June Rome, Italy
The Country Showcase and B2B event that will be held in Rome, Italy on June 11-12, 2009 is the second event organised by FILAS in a series of follow-up activities to the successful matchmaking event held in Beijing, China on November 26-28, 2008.
The success of the Beijing event and the strong interest expressed by both SMEs and Regional Authorities have led FILAS to expand the activities of Project Sidereus and design new initiatives to further promote the development of trade and business cooperation and agreements between Asian and European companies.
The Rome Sidereus event addresses European and Southeast Asian companies operating in the aerospace and ICT sectors on satellite navigation applications with a special focus on GALILEO.
In particular, the country showcase will allow each country to present their cases of excellence and objectives as well as to introduce the participating companies.
On Day one (June 11), following the welcome address by Filas General Manager Stefano Turi and an opening remark by the Chinese authorities, a brief series of introductory presentations will provide an overview of Galileo and the Italian aerospace industry. Then, the rest of the day will be reserved to the presentation of the European and Asian companies participating in the event. Considerable time will be reserved after each session for informal business meetings and networking.
Day two (June 12) will be dedicated to study visits to some of the most significant and promising aerospace and ICT enterprises operating in the Lazio Region.
The event will be held at the prestigious Casa del Cinema (Largo Marcello Mastroianni, 1) inside the world-renowned Casina delle Rose, one of the most beautiful structures in the vast Villa Borghese park in central Rome.
The 2500 sq. meter Casina delle Rose has recently been fully restructured. The core of the complex houses an outstanding deluxe theatre with state-of-the-art sound and projection systems, including video projection in digital high definition and satellite connections.
The China SME IPR Help Desk provides excellent resources for all SMEs
participating in the Sidereus Event and interested in internationalisation with China.
