Second Meeting of the ImMediaTe Project Consortium Feb. 10, 2010
Project ImMediaTe (Improving the Value of Digital Media and Creative Industries through Innovative Business Models and Services) held its second formal meeting in Rome on February 9-10, 2010.
The two-day conference allowed partners to review the work done to date, define key actions and measures and fine-tune project deadlines and milestones. Ms. Michela Michilli, Director of the ImMediaTe Project, was very happy about the quality of the work done by the consortium. “In fact,” Ms. Michilli pointed out “we are already well ahead of our planned milestones and this will allow us to have even more time to analyse the collected data and develop efficient, custom-tailored tools.”
Over the next year, Project ImMediaTe will organize a series of thematic events (one in each of the participating clusters: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Lazio, Malta and Paris) concentrating on the local, regional and national needs of SMEs. Each event will include a general coaching module to allow enterprises to understand what their effective needs actually are and a more targeted module reflecting the specific needs and strengths of each cluster.
SMEs will be able to benefit from the ImMediaTe toolbox, a “mix and match” range of instruments that will be developed to provide the most effective, custom-tailored solutions for digital media companies and their access to the market, with a special emphasis on financing. Moreover, the toolbox will become one of the main features of the innovative business services organisation that ImMediaTe will create.
This business-oriented services company will build on the findings and experience of the project to provide a variety of on-line and on-field tools to assist European ventures in the digital media and creative industries sector.
Filas, the project coordinator, hosted the first day of works, while Innova spa welcomed partners to their headquarters in the Tecnopolo Tiburtino Scientific Park for the second day.
The meeting was closed by a delightful networking dinner just around the corner from the Coliseum.
