ImMediaTe at the Turin CReATE International Conference Nov. 6, 2009
The ImMediaTe project was presented at the CReATE International Conference (Connecting ICT Research and Creative Enterprises) in Turin (Italy) in November 4-5, 2009.
The conference, sponsored by Regione Piemonte (Italy), served as a meeting point to discuss the state of the art of ICT innovation in the creative industries and cluster development. It involved public, political and entrepreneurial stakeholders in workshops and discussions for networking, the identification of new ICT development ideas and research priorities with a focus on innovative business models.
The conference allowed experts, entrepreneurs, public decision makers and academics to their experiences. A round table on “ICT Research Policy for the Creative Industry”provided a multiple approach on public actions to innovate and increase the competitiveness of the creative sector.
The conference offered a good opportunity to ImMediaTe to present the project, liaise with potential interesting organizations, meet digital media companies and peer with the CREATE initiative.
During the conference Project Director of ImMediaTe, Ms. Michela Michilli, gave a presentation on the “Multi-channel Distribution of Digital (Creative) Content” addressing the main objectives of the ImMediaTe Project, the state of the art of the digital media in the EU and the characteristics of the Lazio Region audiovisual sector.
